Surrounded by mountains in the centre of the well-known Schladming-Dachstein ski region, and lying only 470 kilometres away from Budapest, Gröbming is a medicinal resort famous for its clean air.

The two-storey 3-star hotel of Hungarian ownership was built on the highest point of the town and allows for a magnificent view of the neighbouring mountains from its windows and balconies.

The place is a paradise for winter sports lovers. The closest family ski slopes are the Stoderzinken in Gröbming, the neighbouring Galsterberg, – only six kilometres away – which both expect their guests with inviting children’s programmes and ski schools.  At Haus one can enter the famous Schladming “Ski Swing” and start a four-mountain tour in the 860 kilometre long Ski Amade, comprising more than 100 ski lifts, a 200 kilometre-long area for cross-country skiers and winter hikers, ski schools and toboggan runs.

Ski buses regularly run from the hotel as well as from the town centre (200 m).

In summer, the area can offer a really active recreational holiday with its several hundred kilometre-long hiking possibilities, mountain bike courses, cycle and horse-riding paths. All this is set in the picturesque countryside in the region of Alpine pastures and extended awe-inspiring valleys.

In the country style hotel our guests can choose from altogether 28 rooms, which are either for two, three or four people. Every room is equipped with a bath, a TV-set, a radio and a telephone. Internet is accessible though Wifi. Some rooms also have a kitchen recess and / or have doors opening into the neighbouring room.

In the vernacular style restaurant guests are offered smorgasboard for breakfast and a three-course, buffet-style meal of their choice for dinner.
